Hearing the Horizon: An Introduction to Liminal Listening (3.00-5.00pm Saturday Oct 14)

When we lead with our ears, which senses follow? Join Sound Thought artist Beth Horseman for a workshop exploring deep listening practices and approaches. This participatory session will pair histories of liminal sound with a selection of personal and group-led listening exercises to enhance your individual practice and introduce concepts of expanded listening.

Seeing Sound (11.15am-12.15pm Sunday Oct 15)

How Aliens can redefine Audio is a workshop/artist talk focused on shifting views around sound in order to promote innovation and exploration of sonic qualities and ways of working with audio. Inspired by theories on crop circle designs and creation, and looking at ways of visualising audio, it will explore different ways of visualising sound waves and the ways in which shifting viewpoints can change how we work with and share sound.
